Helsinki Airport (HEL)
Airlines and Terminals
(Helsinki, Finland)
Helsinki Vantaa Airport is Finland's most important transportation hub, with millions of passengers visiting southern Finland from both domestic and international destinations annually. Helsinki Vantaa is becoming increasingly significant as a transit airport for European passengers en route to Asia. The complex is served by a wide range of local and foreign airlines.
There are two separate terminals at Helsinki Vantaa Airport, with Terminal 1 serving domestic flights and Terminal 2 serving international flights; they are connected by an enclosed walkway. The International Terminal has recently been expanded and upgraded to deal with increased traffic demands.
